Dear Period. Today is the first day that I went off track. You know. Out with family and friends and someone ordered appetizers and there I was drinking whiskey and eating baked Brie-slathered bread. The kind you only really order out. You know the kind. After a while it dawned on me that I was wrecking my diet. What astonished me was that I hadn't even realized it. I had been so good for one week. Saying no thank you to desserts, eating meat for breakfast and almonds for snack and salads for lunch. Eating avocados and eggs. Eating coconut oil and pork rinds. No more bananas and no more potatoes and no more pasta. And there I was eating bread. A few hours later I can look back at this first time falling off the band-wagon and call it a carb-up, give my body some building blocks for the hormones I need so badly, and just enjoy some baked brie.
